My inbox was a buzz this morning about Affiliate Elite — a new software package that gives you tons of data on the top affiliates, keywords they are using, what ads they are running and most importantly, what products they are promoting, etc. Just like pitching to the media, it is much easier to get someone to promote something of yours if they are already serving your target audience. The price is a bit expensive for those of us on an Internet Marketing product diet — but my ten years in offline marketing has taught me that data is priceless. If you buy it over at dealdotcom you get a bunch of videos and instruction manuals about how to get the most out of it.
I almost feel sorry for the virtual assistants of the super affiliates who are about to be deluged by JV offers — at least hopefully they will be a little more targeted because of the software.
