Top Five Things I Am Thankful For in 2007

by Meredith on November 23, 2007

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays.  I love the food, the cold weather, getting toether with family.  I even (almost) love the fact that everyone seems to get sick :(  This year, we managed to get sick before leaving on our road trip — so we just stayed home.  As much fun as it would have been to see everyone, I’m sort of enjoying a very extended long weekend lounging around with hubby :)

Recently, I led a phone call for the AssistU alumni group on appreciation.  One of the things that I learned in my research was — what appreciates grows in value.  The more we appreciate people and things that are going right in our lives, the more valuable they become.

So… in that spirit — here are the top five things I am thankful for in 2007:

1.  Balance — I work from home as a virtual assistant.  Although I am busy — the fact that I work via the Internet means that I can sculpt my work hours around other important things in my life (mainly spending time with my young daughter.

2. My Family - hands down — they are the best and I love them all dearly :)

3. My fabulous clients - I don’t know how I got the best clients but I learn from these dynamic ladies every day.  I hope they also learn something form me.

4. My Internet Community — I really love Twittering with the MasterMind Moms and interacting with my fellow AssistU VAs.

5. New Mexico - The skies are blue, blue, the people are so nice and the view from my deck is awesome.  It is a great place to live and I’m so glad we moved here.

I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving.
