If you have been with me since the beginning of this series, you have a lot of ideas for articles, but maybe you still don’t have time to write them all… Maybe you should consider outsourcing all or part of the process. There are several different ways that you can outsource your content creation.
1. Hire a ghostwriter. Ghostwriters can write articles for you for less than you might imagine. You get a custom article that is original and that you can use as is. Some places to find ghost writers include elance.com and guru.com. If you use these services, a good strategy would be to pay two or more writers to write the same piece for you. Pick the one that does better for future assignments. Another great place to get ghostwritten content is allprivatecontent.com. They have a team system where the work is reviewed by an experienced team leader.
2. Buy Private Label Rights (PLR) materials. PLR articles are pre-written articles that you can modify (or not) and publish under your own name. Usually, the same article is sold to several (or hundreds) of people. PLR is usually very inexpensive, you can buy a package of articles for less than $20. You need to really watch the quality of the packages though. One of the best places I know to get consistently high quality articles is EasyPLR.com. You can’t really submit PLR to article directories, becuase most directories stipulate that the articles need to be your own work. That being said, I like PLR articles and use them. Usually though, I end up using the article as a springboard for my own ideas. What ends up in the blog is usually completely different than the PLR I started with
3. Outsource your Content Management. One of the smartest and most cost effective investments you can make is to outsource your content creation. A good virtual assistant can not only help you to create and stick with your editorial calendar, she can help you tweak the different pieces you have written and post them to your blog, submit them as articles, post in forums, create Squidoo pages, etc. This is one of the services that I provide frequently for my clients. It is well worth the VA’s fee to contantly have your content fresh and updates on sites throughout the Internet.
