FAQ
What is a Virtual Assistant?
A virtual assistant provides administrative support to clients remotely (via phone, fax and internet). Virtual Assistants are independent business owners that work in ongoing, collaborative partnerships with their clients to help them grow their businesses and improve the quality of their lives.
What Does A Virtual Assistant Do?
Virtual assistants can do just about any job that a secretary or personal assistant sitting next to you in your office can do. Additionally, as a small business owner, they can provide provide a valuable sounding board for ideas and resources for making your business better.
How Do I Work With A VA?
Work is generally sent and received via email, fax or post – the most common form being email. Work can also be uploaded/downloaded via FTP to the VA’s or client’s websites, and there are companies that provide remote access facilities such as GoToMyPC. As you and your VA get to know each other better, you VA can work on your behalf without much supervision or time explaining assignments.
How Much Is This Going To Cost Me?
Virtual assistance rates range from $40- $100 an hour. Because you are only paying for productive time, it costs less to hire a VA. Once you hire a VA to do your administrative tasks, you have more time to bill clients at your normal rate. The question becomes can you afford not to hire a VA?
